Manimal Movie: Fuse

1 Fuse

“Fuse: Memoirs of the Hunter Girl” is a 2012 Japanese anime fantasy feature film. It is heavily influenced by the work of Hayao Miyazaki (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away).

Though the main character is a teenager, the subject matter is frequently adult in nature. The film contrasts between gorgeous background animation and not-so-great character animation. There are many beautiful sequences that lead in to bloody violence.

The reason I mention the film here is that it features a main character who transforms into a fuse or “dogman”. You can watch it here or at Hulu.

    • Thanks for sharing, Karial. Liz Kay is one of my favorite artists at DA. In fact, I have a print of the piece you linked to. It is also among past posts here somewhere.

I’ll be posting more centaur art in September after I pay my annual WordPress fee.
