Centaur Animation: He-Man vs Knightaur
A few years ago I purchased inexpensive animation cells of the centaur character in this episode, “The Return of Granamyr” (Ep. 54, 1983) from the first season of He-Man and The Masters of The Universe. I hadn’t seen the episode since it was first telecast almost 29 years ago. Now you can watch it, if you even remotely care to, on Hulu.
The centaur appears at 14:00. Unfortunately, his torso is clad in armor, but I guess that’s as good a way as any to hide the difficulties of animating a convincing centaur and this one isn’t all that convincing.
