As far as I am concerned this movie is the latest installment in a series that has way overstayed its welcome. I probably wouldn’t cross the street from my home to see this thing but . . .
At 1:23 of this trailer, for a brief instant, there is something that causes me to pay attention. You may have to freeze the video to catch it. I did.
Statues have come to life in a number of movies before this one. However, in this case, it appears to be one that has leaped off the Parthenon. He’s even got missing limbs. More’s the pity that this semi-accurate depiction is incomplete because he’s quite well done otherwise.
I’m not suggesting investing your money in this humorless cash-in on the original film’s success. It’s a shame to see so much talent thrown into this twaddle including one of the last performances of the greatly lamented Robin Williams. That being said, someday I might be purchasing a copy of this film just because of what happens at 1:23.
